Crypto & Investment Scam
Promises of guaranteed high returns through cryptocurrency or investments
How this scam works
Scammers promise guaranteed high returns through cryptocurrency, forex, or other investments. They often use fake trading platforms, show fabricated profits, and use testimonials from paid actors. Once you invest significant amounts, your money disappears.
These scams have become increasingly sophisticated, with professional-looking websites and apps. They often start with small "wins" to build trust before asking for larger investments.
Warning signs
- ⚠️Guaranteed returns (no legitimate investment guarantees returns)
- ⚠️Pressure to invest before "opportunity expires"
- ⚠️Unknown or unregistered trading platforms
- ⚠️Fake celebrity endorsements
- ⚠️Requests for payment in crypto (irreversible)
- ⚠️Screenshots of profits (easily manipulated)
Real examples
“I made $10,000 in one week with this trading platform. Guaranteed 500% returns. Start with just $100: crypto-profit.com”
No legitimate investment guarantees returns. This is likely a Ponzi scheme.
“Exclusive investment opportunity! Early access to new crypto coin. 1000% gains guaranteed. DM for details.”
Guaranteed crypto gains don't exist. This is a scam or pump-and-dump scheme.
